We have some fun news!

Shady Springs is excited to announce our first time participating in the Austin Art Tour! We will be transforming our dancehall into a temporary gallery space for a duo exhibit of new works from neighboring painters Kiah Denson and John Cobb, and we are looking for up to 5 guest artists to join us!

In addition, we’re looking for creatives and vendors of all types to participate in an artisan + makers market under our heritage pecan tree.

Details!

indoor gallery space: ~6.5'x40' gallery wall available in 5 sections of 6.5'h x 8'w + floor space (8'x11') for pedestals or small table. Please see image below for example layout. (if you have a lot of work, you may also set up a display or tent outside!) There will be a $65 fee per section/artist to cover material costs to build the wall. we will have an opening reception for our “gallery show” on Thursday nov. 12!

outdoor area: ample space for tents, tables and displays! (BYO) there is no fee for outdoor participants. timing and coordination for setup/takedown tbd. there are some options for inclement weather. we have room to be creative with your work: demos, live painting, installations, performance, and more! we provide the space, you bring the creativity.

please note: all participants must apply individually to the tour and be accepted. cross-promotion is queen! we are a teeny family business, not a gallery, so you are responsible for your work and your sales. we take no commission. all efforts to pull this off are our own (and yours!). we would love to host artists who are southeast-ish, out of bounds or living in the country, but the application is absolutely open to all so *please* apply regardless! we aren’t sure what the need or interest is at this point, we just want to provide a place for artists to have a fun and unique art tour experience :) there are many details to work out, and we are working on drink + food options, so if you have any ideas or connections, please let us know!
